Bakers on a Mission

At Greyston, we think of ourselves as Bakers on a Mission. For over 30 years, we have been at the forefront of social responsibility by advancing our people and community through employment, affordable housing, and child care. We believe a strong community benefits everyone and its been a part of our recipe for baking the most delicious brownies for decades because we know that inspired bakers make inspired baked goods. We invite you to learn more about our bakers and their missions below!

Patricia

A strong work ethic and two supportive children motivated Patricia to sign up for open hiring at Greyston Bakery. She became passionate about the baking process after only a few weeks on the job. Her own curiosity and determination is what enabled her to advance to new positions within the Bakery. Patricia is currently in training to be an Assistant Supervisor, a job which she regards as “a big challenge but also a big opportunity.”

William

Coming from a rough neighborhood in Yonkers, William was determined to stay focused on his goal to better himself. His talent for baking became apparent early on and he is now a part of Greyston’s mixer training program. In his words, “I came to Greyston Bakery to be financially stable and I am now inspired to start a family business in the future.”
