Our Brownies
How long will the brownies last?
Our brownies are baked to order with no preservatives, so eat them quickly! After opening, wrap well in plastic and keep at room temperature or double wrap and freeze for up to two months. Defrost in the refrigerator overnight before unwrapping.
Allergy Concerns
We only use all natural ingredients and pride ourselves in the fact that we do not add preservatives. We understand that some people are allergic to products and especially to nuts. Please understand that we do use and store nuts on our baking premises. We advise that if you or the recipient is highly allergic, that you do not eat our brownies. We thank you for your interest but we would rather have you safe than sorry.
Kosher
All of Greyston's products are certified Kof-K (Dairy) under the supervision of the Kof-K. Our products are Dairy, and Kosher for year-round use, excluding Passover.
Can I microwave my brownies?
Yes, you can put them in the microwave (please remove the cellophane). Try 30 seconds or less at first. Microwave ovens vary in power and you don't want to melt the brownie!

A wiry, compact man, Vernate doesn't announce survival, but revels in it. Coming of age during the Vietnam War, when social upheaval, political protest, and a potent drug culture beckoned, he knows a lot about time lost to "trouble, trouble, trouble." Married and the father of four, six years ago he arrived at the Bakery — at age 48 — resolved that "enough was enough." Here, he found strength in the workplace, in being focused, and in the unconditional trust placed in him by CEO Julius Walls. Vernate went on to earn that trust, and more. After a year of training, six months ago he was promoted to Supervisor.

"Julius always says 'good to great,'" Vernate confides. "It sticks with me."
